Starting Cosmetic Dentistry

Do you have issues with the appearance of your smile? If so, then you should see our team for cosmetic dentistry. These are treatments that are designed to address the beauty of your smile and offer attractive results, often in as little as one visit. Every smile is unique, so we want to take a close look at your smile to assess the cause and extent of your cosmetic imperfections, so we can create a treatment plan to address them. We could address a single issue with a single cosmetic treatment, or combine them for a smile makeover. Let’s work together so you can obtain a stunning new smile in 2025!

In-Office and At-Home Teeth Whitening

One of the more common issues patients ask us to address is teeth stains. These can develop due to our daily habits and other factors, and while you can buy store bought solutions, these offer minor and short-lived results. We have two professional teeth whitening options to brighten your smile by several shades. The in-office whitening treatment involves the use of a special bleaching gel and a light to activate it, so we can lift stains from your smile in as little as one to two hours. This is often recommended for people who need fast results before a first date, job interview, or special occasions.

For people with more substantial teeth stains, we could offer a take-home option that can tackle more severe stains and even brighten smiles by up to eight shades. First, you visit our office so we can take impressions of your bite and create a custom set of plastic trays. We then send these home with you, along with multiple plastic syringes of bleaching gel. At home, you add the gel to the trays and wear them for about an hour a day over the course of a week to ten days. You can then keep the trays and any leftover gel for touch-ups as needed down the road.

Porcelain Veneers

With porcelain veneers, we can offer a smile makeover with a single treatment option. Each veneer is a thin shell of porcelain that we attach to the front facing part of a tooth. The porcelain material can handle daily bite forces and pressures, and be shaded to blend with the smile and look natural. Treatment involves our team numbing the tooth and removing a thin layer of outer enamel. We take detailed images and impressions of these teeth, which we use in a lab setting to design and fabricate your veneers. When they are ready, we will check the fit and make minor adjustments before we attach them with a powerful bonding agent.

Once in place, we can use veneers to mask permanent teeth stains, fill gaps and black triangle spaces between the teeth, and address misshapen teeth. We can lengthen worn down structures and even repair minor damage. Our team can also correct the appearance of uneven teeth so you have a straighter-looking smile without the need for orthodontics.

Invisalign® Aligners

What if you have crooked, crowded, or overlapping teeth? If you have dental misalignment, we can offer a cosmetic alternative to traditional braces with the Invisalign® system. Instead of metal brackets and wires, we will create a series of custom aligners from a BPA-free material. Each aligner set is completely clear and nearly invisible when in place. The treatment process involves wearing a set for about 20 to 22 hours a day over the course of about two weeks. You then begin wearing the next set in the series and continue this process until you have an even smile, which could take about a year for some patients. These are also removable, so you can take them out before meals or prior to brushing and flossing your teeth, making your day-to-day life much simpler than if you were wearing braces.
